This morning meeting offers a face-to-face deep dive into the new rules and how they apply in the Nordic countries, including the points that specifically benefit airlines.
We are also joined by Dr. Andreas Vogeler, who will explain how the new rules are expected to be applied in Germany and Austria.
We will cover, among other things:
- The new and clarified rules on rebooking and rerouting, including the "comparable transport conditions" standard – more nuanced than the "first available flight" assumption many still operate under
- The complex new mechanism requiring airlines to give passengers a genuine choice in connection with rebooking
- The new, codified list of extraordinary circumstances in Annex I
