Seminar on the latest news about EC Regulation 261 (English)

calendar 22 January 2019
watch 9:00am-11.30am

On the 22 January 2019 IUNO invites air carriers and other companies in the aviation industry to a seminar on the latest news about EC Regulation 261. At the seminar we will look at the latest case practice and developments in the area. The seminar is in English.

Focus

EC regulation 261/2004 is still the cause of many disputes. The extensive amount of disputes helps define the scope of the law, but at the same time, leaves room for a considerable amount of unanswered questions.

At the seminar we will focus on the latest developments in 261-cases and will discuss how the latest tendencies might affect companies working within the scope of the regulation.

During the seminar we will incorporate case studies as well as the latest case practice, and will, amongst other things, focus on:

  • The carrier’s right to demand documentation from a claim agent (ID, Power of Attorney, etc.)
  • Reminder fees, collection fee and legal costs – What is claimable?
  • Weather conditions as an extraordinary circumstance – When is it relevant?
  • Statute of limitation – What rules apply for different Nordic countries?

Who are we?

IUNO represents air carriers and are currently involved in a considerable amount of lawsuits, where our goal is to ensure that the claim agencies are not granted unjustified claims.

Time and place

January 22 at 9.00am - 11.30am

We serve coffee, tea, and a light breakfast from 8.30 am.

The event is free.
